Fitness Planning

Things haven’t been going quite to plan in that since I joined the gym I had really high expectation of myself and my fitness. I expected to hit the cardio up for an hour, then crank on the weight regime for another hour or two….uhhhmmmm… nope.

It’s not happening.

Turns out I have a lot of work to do, but I feel very motivated to put in the efforts required here in order to lose the weight I need to lose, and gain the strength and fitness I want to gain. I’m not aiming for a beach perfect body here, but it would be nice to be more than marginally in the healthy weight zone, and to be able to fit into my size 10-12s again.

It would also be nice to not die on Tough Mudder and Rat Race Dirty Weekend. I’m going to try again on the 10km running plan, in addition to doing classes at the gym when they start next week. The classes I’m taking are mainly focused on strength training: boot camp and kettle bells etc. Seeing as it’s been impossible to book an induction for the weight machines – this though, is something I’m going to email about so I can learn some moves to do on them.

I’ve done the planning, now it’s time to put the plan into action. Go go go!
